Tina Broadley once again proved her dominance of the Heydon Grange Ladies section by securing her 9th win, and 8th in succession, of the Ladies Championship by 12 shots from nearest rival Dawn Glennie. The blistering heat proved no obstacle for the clinical Broadley who romped home in this 27 hole competition with a gross 116. Glennie was only 2 shots adrift of Broadley entering the final 9 holes but once again had to be satisfied with second place on 128 as Broadley turned the screw on her partner with a level par 36 for the final 9 holes of the Herts Course. Roz McKenzie took third place with 132. Nett Winner was Ellie Brown with 106 who just edged in front of Roz McKenzie. Best Nett scores on each nine were Essex : Elaine Knobel-Forbes Nett 32; Cambs: Tammini Hurst Nett 34; Herts: Sue Slater Nett 33. Nearest the pin : Ellie Brown; Nearest the pin in 2 : Tammini Hurst; Longest Drive: Tammini Hurst. In a separate stableford competition, Jane Patterson took honours with 33 points.
