Defending champions of the Cambs and Hunts Ladies County Golf Association Grace Norman Trophy, Heydon Grange Ladies, continued their form from last year when they ran out convincing winners in their first defence of the title against a strong Saffron Walden team. The first pairing of Tina Broadley and Eilan Moses, struggled to find form on the first 9 holes and started the 11th five down; however, over the remaining 8 holes Broadley and Moses played inspired par golf, even throwing in a birdie for good measures, to win their game by one hole. Dawn Glennie and Tammini Hurst continued their fine club form, both having been cut two strokes during the past fortnight, to run out comfortable winners 6&5. The final pairing of past and present Ladies Captain, Elaine Knobel-Forbes and Roz McKenzie, held the lead from start to finish with their assured short game and finished their match 3&2. Heydon grange Ladies now go on to play Ramsey in the quarter finals.
