Club Championship 2005-6

Scott Barker retained his Club Championship title with victory by 4 shots from his brother Adam. Ian Brushett (who held the title for many years prior to Scott) secured 3rd spot with overnight co-leader Mel Marks slipping to 4th place. In the net competition, Ken Harvey romped home - also by 4 shots. Ken did not even know he had a space in the competition until the evening before the first round when a competitor withdrew leaving Ken a space as first reserve.

In addition to first and second prizes in both gross and net competitions, this year's new prize allocation allowed for awards for the best net on rounds 1 and 2 separately (with no entrant permitted more than one prize). As a result, Mel Mark's net 72 secured best net score for round 1 and Paul Chamberlain's net 74 the award for round 2.
