A strong field contended one of
the most difficult trophies in the Heydon Grange year, the Secretary’s
Salver; a bogy competition against the course off ¾ handicap. With a
very close finish at the top, there were five players on 3 down
contending for the second spot which ultimately was taken by Mel Marks
(5) who pushed Malcolm Knobel-Forbes down to third. Top position went to
Shaun Saward (pictured below) with a very credible 1 down in the gusting
conditions.
