 Chris Collinson chalked up a remarkable victory in the Captain's Shoot-Out on May 9th carding a gross 35 including a hole-in-one on the Essex 4th - his first ever. Chris came tearing out of the traps with a birdie, bogie, birdie, eagle/ace start then very nearly dropped out on the 5th just edging Malcolm Knobel-Forbes in a chip-off. Other notable performances were Roy Bell who defied the odds with his magic short-game to take Chris down the 9th and Peter Garland who survived until the 8th. The full result was:
