Eagle wins Heydon Grange Barn.

The first competition in this year’s golfing season at Heydon Grange is the Barn Trophy, an 18 hole fourball better ball stableford event. In a closely fought competition two pairings finished on 41 points but, on countback, Trevor Clifton and Steve Bonnet took the honours leaving Paddy Dempsey and Ron Hunt to ponder on what might have been. Winning the countback was in no small margin down to Steve Bonnet making a two under par Eagle on the most difficult hole on the course (Cambs 6th). Steve holed his second shot from around 200 yards for his first ever Eagle and to make 5 points of their total score on just 1 hole.
