The Order of Merit is a season-long program designed to encourage entry by all men into trophies (men's and mixed), medals and knock-out tournaments. Points are allocated over the season from qualifying events and the winner is the player who accumulates most points:

• open to Men and Juniors
• in the event of a tie, the winner is the player who has played in more competitions
• the top 18 and ties gain entry into the First Class Shoot-Out
